Dr. Zappy earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a Focus in Biology at Neumann University in 2010. He then went on to Graduate School to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic medicine (DC) from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 2013. While at NYCC, Dr. Zappy also obtained a Master’s Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN).
While attending school at NYCC, Dr. Zappy became president of the Sports Science and Human Performance club (SSHP), leading representative for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), and with the help of former Los Angeles Clippers Chiropractor (’06-’09) and Arizona Diamondbacks Consultant, Dr. Craig Liebenson, started a program at NYCC called Rehab to Performance (R2P). R2P is now in every Chiropractic school in the US, Canada, and in some Physical Therapy Schools.
The R2P is a program built to teach students many of the techniques and assessment methods Dr. Zappy has studied including fascial release, functional movement assessments, rehabilitative exercises, neuromuscular re-education techniques, performance enhancement strategies, and biomechanical evaluations. The R2P program helps bridge the gap from rehabilitation to performance training for athletes.
The Chiropractic nutrition program taught him that the best nutrition comes from whole food organic sources. While we take a “first from food” approach at The Wellness Center of Chester County, we also offer the best bio-available supplements on the market.
The education in Chiropractic Medicine, Chiropractic Physio-Therapy, and Chiropractic Nutrition allow for a well-rounded experience at The Wellness Center of Chester County.
Dr. Zappy’s experience treating various pain and athletic conditions comes from his internships while attending school at NYCC. He volunteered Chiropractic services at a community service clinic in Rochester, NY called the Mercy Outreach Center, a hospital in Rochester, NY called Monroe Hosptial, a Veterans Administration Medical Clinic in Bath, NY, and the St. John Fisher College’s Wellness Center.
